Tofte Lake, a glacial lake in Minnesota’s Boundary Waters, had an all-encompassing affect. The pairing of glacial lake + clear, open sky incited a full-bodied experience of equalization; matter flowed freely through all barriers between body, air, and landscape. The site emphasized that we participate not in a hierarchy but a collaboration.
